Amazon…homophobic fail.

I’m still diving into all this, but I’m getting caught on on my reading about Amazon’s epic fail.  Apparently, they’re removing the sales rank from any LGBTQ books, which removes them from coming up in searches ENTIRELY from Amazon’s homepage.  Their official stance? ”They were adult themed.”  Meanwhile, you can find straight pornography books, anti-gay propoganda, sex toys, and porno flicks on their site.

And no, it’s not LGBT literotica.  It’s academic titles, it’s self-help books, it’s gay history books, it’s anything involving transgender people or gender theory, it’s feminist novels, it’s YOUNG ADULT books with gay characters.  Shit, it’s half the books on my shelf that contain no sexual topics whatsoever.

Don’t worry though, you can still read about ways to enlarge your penis, have sex (so long as it’s straight), and take nude photography.

If this isn’t rectified, I’m done supporting Amazon.  I’m a huge fan of my Kindle app on my iPhone and I’ve bought thousands of dollars of merchandise from Amazon - but this will be it for me.  I wonder who paid them off?
