My strange nausea issue…
Okay, so I’m writing this mostly for myself because it’s driving me nuts and I want to keep track of this issue.
Lately, almost 8/10 times I eat dinner, I’m getting nauseous. I have never vomited because of this, but I have to take acid pills and Pepto to prevent it. It’s to the point where I don’t like eating dinner at all. It happens occasionally at lunch (like today, right now) but not usually. It has happened so bad that I felt like I was going to faint after eating and got clammy and dizzy and cold, but that has only happened twice.
I have gone extensive Googling and I have found this on Yahoo Answers, which seems to be someone else with the same issue. My theories so far are that I need more probiotics, or that its happening due to high fat content in food.
Here are some facts:
- Happens worse at night, the later it gets
- Is generally just mild irritating nausea, but has on one occasion made me feel like I was going to faint (Mexican burrito), and on other occasion I was certain I was going to throw up and it continued all through the next day. (Indian food)
- The food seems to vary. Last night it was an Ethiopian lentil dish.
- Pepto Bismol tablets do help it.
- I have never actually vomited, but felt very close.
- It started before my switch to vegetarian food
I’m going to start tracking the things I eat that cause this. So far its:
- Chicken Tikka Masala
- Ethiopian lentil bowl (onions, tomato paste, olive oil, red lentils, paprika, salt/pepper
- Chicken burrito (onions, sour cream, jalapeno cream sauce, lettuce, tortilla, salsa, guacamole)
