Black tongue..who woulda known?
So this morning I super freaked out because I woke up, brushed my teeth and saw that my tongue had CRAZY STREAKS OF BLACK all over it. I started thinking “what the hell did I eat/drink last night?!” and I was pretty sure it wasn’t the girly martini drink thing or the beer….
I frantically Googled, assuming the worst (a horrible flesh eating disease, death imminent!) and it turned out it’s something that happens when you TAKE PEPTO-BISMOL. Which I did last night around 2am because I felt terribad and needed some fast acting soothing tummy relief.
So FYI, they say that Pepto interacts with some other meds and foods (sulfur?) to make your tongue black. It goes away, so no - my tongue isn’t permablack thank you very much.
