How am I doing?
Three months have gone by, and I took a peek at my New Year’s Resolutions to see how I’m doing.  Let’s see. 1) Be active - I wouldn’t say I’m doing this well, but I did buy a bike.  I have intentions of biking more when the weather is warm enough to bike at night.  I think I’m doing okay on this one. 2) Blog more - I’m definitely doing this.  I’m...

Randomness: Finished My Miserably Lonely Lesbian Pregnancy - a nice change of pace, pretty funny in places, very light reading. Went to Extraordinary Desserts for the first time last night, and loved it. Went to the Hillcrest Farmers Market for the first time yesterday and bought flowers, fruit, veggies, and spices.  Also tried Thai Coconut Pancakes - yum! Had a great time at the South Park...

You know the people.
There’s always that person - the one whose link comes up your RSS feed.  The one you see promote themselves in a Tweet.  The one who makes people say “oh man, did you read so-and-so’s post?”. You can’t stand a word that person ever says.  You think they’re egotistical, nonsensical, and an utter waste of virtual text on virtual paper.  You have never agreed with...

Have I mentioned that I love our loft?   I love Banker’s Hill and Hillcrest and I love living so close to everything.  It’s such a beautiful urban San Diego-feeling area.  <3 And now, my best friend Caitlin just put an application to live down here too, on the same street in a cute little studio 6 blocks south of me.  Woot!

Facebook: You will not be Twitter.
Today, Tweetdeck integrated Facebook Statuses into it.  This isn’t anything all that revolutionary.  Plenty of other services have been allowing you to update your Facebook status from outside Facebook.  Plenty of standalone desktop clients have Facebook status support so you can see what your friends are up to.  There’s also quite a few apps out there that have integrated Facebook...

Facebook vs. Twitter
So Facebook has rolled out their new home page, in an attempt to make socialization more asynchronous and Twitter-like.  Admittedly, I don’t have the new home page yet.  (Aside: why is it that the ones who really want it, get it last?)  Moving on, the whole internet is abuzz with things like: “Facebook is trying to be like Twitter, this home page looks just like it” ...

Adventures in Consumption
So, I live in a new area of San Diego now.  Arguably, the best area of San Diego.  Culture, art, fantastic food, eccentricity, entertainment, activity, convenience.  Being in Banker’s Hill means being close to Hillcrest, Downtown, North Park, Balboa Park, the airport, Mission Hills, Fashion Valley, etc. And it means having so much good food to choose from. Lately, we’ve been exploring...

Twitter, and colliding worlds.
I have so many different worlds that collide on the internet.  I have a wide array of things that I’m passionate about, and on some mediums I talk without holding back on most of those things all at once.  Take for example, my Twitter.  Look at some of the subjects I’ve talked about in the past two weeks. My company’s product, Metaplace.  I love what we’re making, and I...

allthatglittersispink: If someone could tell me a place where it’s 70 and sunny year round, and a days drive away from snow, I’d happily move there tomorrow. San Diego.   It gets a *little* colder than that (high 50s during the winter) and a little hotter (few days at 90 lots of days in the 80s) but it’s probably as mild as you get for the US.  Oh, and Big Bear (snow, skiing, snowboarding)...

I feel like I’ve been slacking hardcore on this blog.  Life has been pretty busy lately - between moving, working, and enjoying my freetime, I haven’t had much to say here. I’ll stop slacking and get back to posting crap here. :)
